Alba Sotorra, born in Reus in 1980, studied cinema at the Complutense University of Madrid and in the University of Puerto Rico. She directs and produces documentaries. Her work is based on human stories that lead to reflection on subjects such as freedom, equality and identity, from a gender perspective.
Her second documentary “Game over” (2015) was awarded with the Gaudí 2016 as the best documentary, and she also received the New Talent award at DocsBarcelona
She is now finishing the shooting and editing of her fourth documentary, which is about Kurdish female guerrilla in Kobané, with whom she has lived in the war front for several months.
